I'ANCO cast alloy H132 Mill Chain complete with a combination of steel and steel impregnated UHMW flights, for waste wood conveyors.  I'ANCO's uniquely designed square edged barrel acts as an ice scraper within the conveyor.

 

In northern mills where snow and ice are common hinderences, the 'Ice Scraper' cleans the trough while the flights dispose of the waste wood, thus allowing for trouble free operation.

I'ANCO cast alloy H106 Mill Chain was supplied complete with extra wear shoes and a cast integral post for this reclaimer/stacker conveyor.  The two strands of chain, joined by a fabricated steel bucket through the treaded post attachment, drag chips from outside piles into belts that feed the pulp mill operation.

 

Due to the excessive weight of the buckets, cast integral wear shoes were added to the attachement links to provide larger bearing surfaces and extend chain life.

I'ANCO cast alloy H111 quadruple strand Mill Chain used as the outfeed from a Nicholson ring debarker and  infeed to CAE wood chipper.

 

The cast chain provides a continuous service life of 4 years and replaces the original equipment welded steel chain that provided only a 1-1/2 to 2 year service life.

I'ANCO 22 tooth double segmental sprocket assemlby for a hog fuel distribution conveyor.  The assembly is manufactured complete with a center drum to protect the shaft, and bolt-on replaceable rims for easy maintenance.

 

The sprockets are designed with a high tooth profile to ensure proper chain engagement and to prevent the chain from 'jumping' while traveling  over the sprockets.

I'ANCO cast alloy H132 Mill Chain complete with cast integral K2 attachments for hot lime bucket elevator.  Continuous style fabricated steel buckets were supplied pre-assembled on the chain for quick installation.  Both a 13 tooth and 10 tooth, cast alloy segmental bolt-on sprocket were also provided with this project.

 

This chain ran maintenance free for 8 years allowing it to be changed out much later than originally planned.

I'ANCO cast alloy H132 Mill Chain, complete with 13" wide scanner flights installed every 2 feet.  Operating in one of the world's largest sawmills, the cast chain was chosen over fabricated chain for it's durability and reliability.  The conveyor scans and feeds logs towards the breakdown unit at speeds of 500 feet per minute.

 

The chain was installed in line #1 in 2000 and a second strand installed in line #2 in 2003.  Both conveyors are still in operation and showing little signs of wear.

I'ANCO cast alloy single groove double head drum assembly, part of the S-drive arrangement for a pulp mill log haul conveyor.  The conveyor uses I'ANCO cast alloy 1-3/4 x 2-1/2 x 8" square profile Long Link Chain with cast alloy 'Series 300' 36" wide integral link flights.

 

Reliabiltiy is a key issue with Log Haul Conveyors as this is the primary source of material feed to the woodroom producing chips for the pulp mill operation.

I'ANCO cast manganese 1-1/8 x 2 x 6" square profile Long Link Chain, complete with I'ANCO Series 400 dual tang flight.  This application is a wood waste conveyor feeding a holding silo for disposal.

 

The chain in the conveyor shown has been in service since 1995 and is still going strong.

At this pulp mill, a double strand of I'ANCO cast alloy square profile 1-1/2 x 2-1/4 x 8" Long Link Chain complete with I'ANCO cast alloy Series 400 dual tang flights, 36" wide.

 

The automated wood chip receiving rail car dump conveyor operates with 2 strands of the Long Link Chain and handles 2 rail cars simultaneouly for a load of 120 tons.  It takes approximately 8 minutes to cycle the conveyor clean of wood chips.

Here an I'ANCO cast manganese square profile 1-1/8 x 2 x 6" Long Link Conveyor Chain is used to remove wood waste from a sawmill woodroom operation.  Feeding over an I'ANCO cast alloy 30" diameter single groove Head Drum; this chain as well as the incline, also using square profile Long Link Chain, removes the waste wood to a hog fuel storage bin.

 

The single groove Head Drum shown has been in service since 1994.

I'ANCO manufacutred this 55 foot long hot lime drag chain conveyor for a pulp mill operation using the cast SD23 drag chain.  Operating at a temperature of 1800 degrees F called for heat resistant HN stainless steel.  I'ANCO designed and fabricated the dust tight conveyor at the Surrey facility, complete with motor, take-up, cast sprocket assemblies, heat resistant ductile iron return idlers and wear liners.  The conveyor was assembled and tested as a complete unit, then shipped out and installed in one lift.

 

Installed in 2001, the project paid for itself by the end of the first year of operation.

I'ANCO cast 142mm Drag Chain links complete with cast integral 'BT' style flights in tool steel.  The cast links are used in nickle refining operations where high heat can shorten the life of a standard case hardened chain.

 

The tool steel links have been used extensively since 2000 with complete success.

Cast alloy A53 swivel attachment to suit a drop forged 998 rivetless chain.  The attachment and the extruded plastic flight are used in an infeed conveyor for a coal fired power generation station.  At one third of the original weight, this flight attachment replaces a heavy and cumbersome one piece fabricated steel flight that was difficult to replace due to restricted spacing.

 

The swivel design eliminates chain stress found in double strand conveyors when one side elongates more than the other.  The bolt on system of flights and attachment also eliminated the need for any welding, thus creating a safer and quicker changeout for the facility.

I'ANCO cast alloy HD480 'heavy duty' Drag Chain complete with cast S2 wing attachment (22" overall width) for wood processing operations.  This double strand conveyor removes wood waste from a pulp mill woodroom and feeds it to a Grizzly crusher.

 

The cast chain replaced a problematic welded steel drag chain that was being replaced every 18 months.  This chain has been in service since 2002 in a 24/7 operation maintenance free.

Submerged ash conveyor employing 14 x 50mm round link Drag Chain shown removing ash from the power boiler at a wood waste power generation plant.

 

This double strand conveyor uses a fabricated quench and tempered flight every 14th pitch.

Hog fuel transfer conveyor using I'ANCO cast alloy HD480 Drag Chain removing bark and waste wood from a pulp mill woodroom and tranporting it to the Hog.

I'ANCO cast 317L stainless steel Steaming Elbow complete with 6" bottom inlet and raised head flanges.  Flanges are machined to suit 150 psi pipe flanges and the entire unit is pressure tested prior to delivery.

 

I'ANCO offers both chemical and mechanical foundry certifications as well as NDT reports, as specified for all castings.

Energy Grate for travelling boiler grate system.  The grates rotate in alternating clockwise and counterclockwise direction to distribute ash from the power boiler.

 

The tool steel casting has eliminated fatigue failures found in the original parts and provides a higher hardness for extended, maintenace free service.

 

No failures have been discovered to date since 2003.

I'ANCO cast 17-4 precipitation hardened stainless steel Nozzle for pulp mill black liquor.  I'ANCO assisted in redesigning the fomer fabricated nozzle to include a cast integral elbow thus minimizing the number of joints.  The nozzle resides inside the boiler and sprays liquor off the bottom splash plate to be consumed by the burner.

 

Casting the part in 17-4-ph stainless steel has extended the life span from 2-3 months with the fabricated version to 6-8 months with the new cast design.

Cast alloy crawler Track Pads for Marrietta 780-AW4 mine tunneling machine.  The track pads are 326 lbs each and are assembled with case hardened pins at I'ANCO's manufacturing facitily.

 

I'Anco worked with the end user to develope a unique cast material as a solution to the pre-mature failures that they were previously experiencing.

 

The Marrietta machines weigh in excess of 20 tonnes and are used in underground mining operations in the potash industry.

I'ANCO cast alloy Hog Hammer Tips and Holders for horizontal hog rotors.

 

The hammer tips are cast in I'ANCO Alloy 3A which provides a typical hardness of 444 BHN.

I'ANCO cast alloy 3” Pitch Mining Chain for the Marietta Mining Machine.  Used as an outfeed chain under the miner to remove material and debris from the cutting face of the the tunnel, in the potash recovery operation.

I'ANCO cast super duplex 2205 stainless steel agitator Hub for caustic liquor tanks.  The hub is precision machined, to suit the liquor tank shaft, and fitted with bolt-on 2205 stainless steel blades.

 

The cast 2205 material is an improvement upon the standard fabricated 316 SS due to it's increased resistance to both erosion and corrosion in this application.
